What is EnergyX Fitness?
EnergyX Fitness is a fitness studio located in San Antonio, Texas. Our group fitness classes provide a full body workout using a combination of high-intensity, low-impact exercises designed to help you get maximum results in minimal time.
What should I expect when I arrive?
Upon your arrival at EnergyX, you'll need to check-in at the front desk right by the door. We do welcome walk-ins, however, registering online for classes is highly recommended. Class sizes are limited, so please be aware that if you do walk-in, the class may already be full. You'll be asked to fill out a waiver on your first visit, as well.
Cubbies to store your things, a water fill-up station, towels, bathrooms and a shower are provided. Purses, cell phones, chewing gum and food are not allowed on the class floor during workouts. Bottled water is available for purchase at the front desk, along with an assortment of electrolyte and protein products.
What do you mean by a “high-intensity, low impact” workout?
Simply put, all of our workouts are designed to get your heart rate up (high-intensity) but with less impact on your body (low impact). The combination of the two provides a beneficial workout that gets your heart rate up, burns calories, improves cardio fitness and muscle strength, and protects you from injury, joint damage and pain.
Do all your classes incorporate the rowing machine?
No. While we do offer several rowing-based classes, we also offer a variety of classes that do not. We also offer yoga for those rest and recovery days. To see descriptions of our classes, please click here.
What other equipment do you use at EnergyX Fitness?
With the exception of IndoRow, which is a cardio-based rowing class, all of our classes incorporate a variety of equipment including the WaterRower, TRX Suspension Trainers, kettlebells, the BOSU, battle ropes and more.
I’ve never rowed before. Will I be able to do this?
Yes, of course! We know the rowing machine can be intimidating and that most people don’t have much experience with it. Our crew of highly skilled coaches will walk you through exactly what to do and how to do it. If you haven’t tried it, we highly recommend it! Rowing is truly a total body workout that uses 86 percent of your muscles (60% leg work, 20% core work, and 10% upperbody work), so not only is it a great workout, but it’s also A LOT of fun, too!
I have issues with ______ (part of body). Can I still do the classes?
Absolutely. Our coaches are trained to provide options and modifications for all exercises. For those with lower body injuries or orthopedic restrictions, we suggest checking with your primary care physician before proceeding with booking your first class with us.
Which class should I try first?
PoweRow is great class to try first. It incorporates the use of WaterRower, TRX Suspension Trainer and kettlebells in an interval style format. Class begins with a mobility-focused warm-up and with an AMRAP (as many rounds as possible) finisher. We guarantee it will make you sweat. However, if PoweRow doesn’t work in your schedule, all our classes are designed so you can work at your own intensity level while we guide you through step-by-step.
How early should I arrive for my first class?
We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes before your first class to ensure our coaches have time to walk you through the class format, how to use the equipment and show you around the studios.
What is your cancellation policy?
Class cancellations must be made at least 4 hours before the scheduled start time to avoid penalties. Cancellations made within 4 hours of class (“late cancel”) or failure to attend a scheduled class (“no-show”) will result in either a $15 fee or the loss of a session. Please note: Arriving more than 5 minutes late to a scheduled class will be considered a no-show and may be subject to the same $15 fee or forfeiture of the session.
•Monthly membership users (including recurring or bulk-priced memberships): Late cancels and no-shows will incur a $15 fee.
•EnergyX Lite, class pack, and drop-in users: Late cancels and no-shows will result in the loss of the session used to book the class.
•Third-party users (e.g., ClassPass, WellHub, Peerfit): Late cancel/no-show penalties are subject to the respective provider’s policies.
What if I arrive late to class?
If you arrive more than 5 minutes late to a scheduled class, you will be denied entry for safety reasons and to not disrupt the flow of the ongoing class. Additionally, this will be considered a no-show and may be subject to a $15 late-cancel fee or forfeiture of the session (see "What is your cancellation policy?".
•Monthly membership users (including recurring or bulk-priced memberships): Late cancels and no-shows will incur a $15 fee.
•EnergyX Lite, class pack, and drop-in users: Late-cancels and no-shows will result in the loss of the session used to book the class.

What if I have to leave early?
No problem! Just be sure to let your coach know you’ll be leaving early so they aren’t surprised. It’s important to us that you get your workout in, so we are happy to accommodate you in this regard.

What should I bring to class?
Bring a water bottle (we have water fill stations), wear comfortable workout clothing and shoes. Also, don’t forget to bring your positive energy!

How do I book a class?
You can book your first class by signing up here. Once you have purchased an EnergyX Fitness membership, you can continue to sign-up via our website or by downloading the MindBody App. With both you’ll be able to easily view schedules, book classes, purchase EnergyX merchandise and more!
Where are you located?
We are located in Hemisfair within The ’68 Apartment building at 623 Hemisfair Blvd, Suite 102, and just a few doors down from ReRooted Urban Winery (yum!). Validated parking is available in The '68 public garage.
What health & safety protocols are you taking to help reduce the spread of COVID-19?
We continue to navigate and adjust our health & safety protocols to the rapidly shifting environment caused by COVID-19 and its emerging variants. We are committed to keeping our members, coaches, their families and the community at large, as safe as possible. Members who are vaccinated may go maskless at either studio and we are still providing safe distancing during class (not yet back to full capacity). Pre-registration is required for all classes and there will be no entry for late arrivals. Frequently touched surfaces will be cleaned before and after each class; hand sanitization stations continue to be available throughout the studio and we continue to deep clean the studio on a daily basis. I need to cancel my membership. What is your policy?
For recurring memberships after contract has been met: member must give written notice at least 15 days before the next recurring payment. Notice can be sent to contact@energyxfitness.com. No cancellations before contract has been met except for cases of military relocation/deployment. Memberships may be paused for a minimum of 1 month and a maximum of 3 months upon written request.
For all other memberships & class packs: purchases are non-refundable except in cases of military relocation/deployment. Expiration dates can be extended due to injury or illness. Memberships or class packs can be transferred to another client upon written request. Proof of relocation, injury or illness may be requested.
